Q: Hi. I'm planning a New Year's Eve trip to Savannah. We are traveling with another couple and would like a recommendation of a great place to dine for New Year's Eve. We are traveling with children whom are used to traveling and do great in restaurants. But, it will be an early dinner; we are not looking to stay until midnight. :) Nothing over the top expensive, but, a nicer place is what we want, something with a great atmosphere. We don't mind paying extra for terrific food and fun! Savannah residents or past travelers, PLEASE HELP!! Thanks so much........P.S. We are staying in historic district area.
A: Try something different. There is a Moroccan place called the Casbah right across from the Marshall House Hotel. The food is excellent, cost is reasonable and the is a belly-dancing floor show. Very nice! I've been there with my wife several times when visiting Savannah
