Q: I've been seriously craving one. There are no carnivals or festivals or anything like that going on this weekend; anyone know where I can get a good candy apple? Maybe a downtown vendor, or a farmer's market or something?
A: When all else fails, make your own. Look in a Publix or Krogers, in the product section around where the apples are displayed, and a lot of times you'll find packages of the mix to make either a caramel or candy apple...and if lucky, both! If you don't see them, then ask someone in the Produce Department for help. This weekend, Stone Mountain Park is having their Annual Yellow Daisy Festival, and I'd be surprised if you wouldn't find them there. Good luck.
