Q: I recently moved to Alexandria and was wondering if anyone knows of a good bar/pub in the area. Somewhere with darts and a jukebox, kind of southern style, but nothing depressing.
A: I'm hard pressed to think of a "southern style" bar in alexandria, but can recommend the Crystal City Sports Pub in Arlington. On 23rd Street. They have darts and pool and music. Great sandwiches. Another good bar scene would be Southside on S. Washington in Old Town Alexandria. One more place would be Rockit Grill on King Street. The other writer said Gadsby's Tavern...which is definitely NOT a pub but a high end restaurant. Hope this helps!
